In August 2019 we have:

• Field visits to Ruisi and Kakheti drip irrigation demonstration sites in Georgia within the 3.1. Rational Water Use in Agriculture sector outcome
• Finalization of contracting the international expert for Industrial and municipal sewage pollution abatement expert and approve the detailed work plan for her activities, and contracting of 2 national experts in each country
• Bidding the RFP to install the groundwater online system in Alazani (Ganikh)-Iori river for 6 stations.
• Meeting with UNDP Georgia Country Office to brief Kura DRR on Project activities
• Start the implementation of an economic study for the tariff reform for water delivered by Georgian amelioration to hydropower, fish farms, and industrial uses by the project’s Environmental Economics Expert
• Identifying an alternative major polluter company in Georgia
• Procurement of equipment and furniture for training center for raising awareness and holding meetings and trainings on the Drip Irrigation demo project in Saatli, Azerbaijan
• 5^th Environmental flow study filed trip in Azerbaijan and in Georgia
• Finalization of the bids for building of the constructed wetland in Shirvan/Hajigabol, Azerbaijan and the conclusion of the contract for the selected local company in Azerbaijan, pending agreement for assumption on M&E Costs from AzerSu post project
• Meeting with the MENR to discuss the operation and maintenance costs for the constructed wetland to be built in Shirvan, Azerbaijan
• Commencement of the peer review process for submitted papers to the Kura River Basin Academic Conference 
• Share Project Steering Committee Minutes with Project Steering Committee 

In September 2019 we will:

• Meeting with “Environment and Development” NGO on 2 September 2019 to discuss the detailed work plan and awareness raising campaign of the demonstration project on 3.1. Rational Water Use in the Municipal sector in Gori, Georgia 
• Field visit to “Poultry Georgia” Ltd on 2 September 2019 to discuss possibility of their involvement in Kura II pollution abatement demonstration project in Georgia
• Meeting with the National Focal Point in Georgia to discuss upcoming activities and plans on 5 September 2019
• Training in The Principles of Cleaner Production for Environmental Inspectors on 9-13 September 2019 in Azerbaijan and Georgia
• Training in Hydro-Economic Modeling on 9-13 September 2019 in Azerbaijan and Georgia
• Kick-off meeting with national experts on environmental inspection and environmental audit to discuss Pollution Abatement Plans demonstration project in Azerbaijan and Georgia
• National Project Advisory Group Meeting on 16 September 2019 in Baku, Azerbaijan on 20 September 2019 in Tbilisi, Georgia
• Regional Working Group meeting on Shared Water Quality Indicators on 17 Sep. 2019 in Baku, Azerbaijan and Regional Working Group meeting on Water Resources Management on 19 September 2019 in Tbilisi, Georgia
• Finalize the Facility Audit Check List and Baseline Monitoring Program for the polluting facilities.
• The 2^nd GIS training in Azerbaijan on 23-24 September
• Preparations for the opening of the demonstration project on rational water use in the municipal sector in Gori, Georgia
• The opening ceremony for the 3.1. Rational Water Use in Municipal sector drip irrigation pilot site in Saatli, Azerbaijan
• Finalize the evaluation of the modified bid to install the groundwater monitoring system in Alazani (Ganikh)-Iori river basin 
• Prepare for H2Otel Trainings in Azerbaijan 
• Finalize participation award for the Kura River Basin Academic Conference 
• Visit UNDP IRH for No Travel Week to meet with Partnerships and Communications Teams about Social Marketing, and to meet with GEF Counterparts and others in the Regional Hub
