In January 2020 we have:

• Conduct the 7th monitoring campaign on the E-flow in Azerbaijan and Georgia during 17-20 January 2020
• The regular inspections of the construction works at the Constructed Wetland site in baby Hajigabul Lake in Shirvan, Azerbaijan
• Hiring two national experts namely Legal and Institutional and Civil Engineer in Azerbaijan
• Translate International Environmental Economist’s Reports into national languages
• Preparations for the Hydro Heroes Water Saving mobile application
• Printing additional copies of Kura Box in English and national languages
• Shipping online monitoring equipment to support the work of Regional Working Group on Water Quantity Management
• Meeting with National Focal Points and UNDP Country Offices
• Held meeting at Georgian Amelioration Ltd to receive updates on ongoing work to elaborate the methodology for calculation of technical water service tariffs and agree on the following steps to finalize and present the methodology
• Conduct Strategic Planning Meeting with the Kura II Project Team during 28-30 January 2020
• Start preparations for the National Project Advisory Group and Regional Working Group Meetings to be held in February and March 2020
• Start preparations for the field trip of the Georgia National Laboratory Center representative to Azerbaijan National Environmental Agency Laboratory of Atmospheric Air, Water and Soil Analysis to harmonize the water sampling and methodologies for the main polluting indicators (BOD5, Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, Phenol and Heavy Metals)

In February 2020 we will:

• Conduct the 4^th Regional Working Group Meeting on Water Quantity Management in Baku, Azerbaijan on 3 February 2020
• Conduct the 7^th NPAG Meeting in Georgia on 7 February 2020
• Conduct the 7^th NPAG Meeting in Azerbaijan on 14 February 2020
• Conduct the 3^rd Block of the training on Environmental Permitting and Enforcement on 10-14 February 2020
• Conduct the 3^rd Block of the training on Cleaner Production on 17-21 February 2020
• Conduct the 3^rd Block of the training on Economic Modeling on 24-27February 2020
• Meet with the newly appointed Direct of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia
• Completion of the Hajigabol Constructed Wetland excavation and begin lining
• Meet with Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture in Georgia to decide River Restoration activities
• Meet with the Amelioration Company of Georgia to finalize report on tarrif structure for Georgia Water Services
• Developing RPA for Aquaponics for Azerbaijan, pending PSC approval
• Posting RFQ for HydroHeroes App in partnership with IDEA and AzerSu
• Continuing development of Social Marketing Campaign for water conservation in Georgia and Azerbaijan
• Training for Kura Box and Modules for select schools in Baku
• Finalizing Best Available Technologies Report for Main Polluting Sectors
• Exchange Mission for NEA to train specialist in Hydromet regarding concentration of pesticides in water
• Investigation of sites for online ground water monitoring system in both countries
• Prepared 2 video modules for the IW:LEARN/GWP MOOC – Online course – including Kura Basin Case Study
• Promoting Hajigabol Constructed Wetlands for International Wetlands Day
• Develop video for awareness raising for rational water use by Gori Teachers as part of demonstration project
