January 2021 we have

• Finalized the hiring process of the new project CTA/RC and he started his duties on 7^th of Jan 2021.
• Delivered the Final report for Environmental Flow study in Shamkir Chay and Alijan Chay in Azerbaijan
• Delivered the Final report for Environmental Flow study in the Aragvi basin in Georgia.
• Finalized the custom clearance of all the groundwater online monitoring equipment in both countries and getting ready for installation process.
• Started the civil works to prepare the groundwater sites in Georgia for installing the online monitoring equipment.
• Finalized the report on the assessment of the economical impacts of the project demonstration projects in Rational water use.
• Finalized the TOR for purchasing the heating system for the greenhouse that will host the Aquaponic system in Azerbaijan.
• Finalized the testing the beta version of the Hydro Heroes mobile application for reporting on water leak detection and awareness raising on rational water use.
• Finalized the development of the E-learning portal for awareness raising in rational water use for school students and teachers in the 3 languages (Azerbaijan, Georgian, English).
• Finalized the development of the E-learning portal for awareness raising in rational water use for local communities in the 3 languages (Azerbaijan, Georgian, English).
• Finalized the Earth Works and construction works for pipelines and wells connecting the Surface Water Intake well to the first Oxbow lake in Krtsanisi park in Georgia.
• Finalized the earth works and construction works for the pipeline and 4 well linking the groundwater intake well to the fish farm in Krtsanisi park in Georgia.
• Delivered the final report on the application of the hydrological modelling in one subbasin in each country.
• Finalized the 2-day online training course on the application of the hydrological modelling in the Stori River in Georgia for the Georgian trainees.
• Finalized the course on exchange of experience between the two countries on the laboratory analysis of pesticides in water. The training was done online by the Georgian expert for the Azerbaijani chemists.
• Held the meeting with the MENR Deputy Minister in Azerbaijan to discuss the project progress.
• Produced a promotion video about the project study on Environmental Flow in Azerbaijan and Georgia.

In February 2021 we will

• Organize two online workshops to present the Final results and road map to implement the environmental flow methodology in each country.
• Translate the final report on the results of the environmental flow methodology in each country to the national language.
• Finalize the sampling and analysis of the water intake and outlet of Hajiqabul constructed wetland in Azerbaijan.
• Delivere the final report on the impact of the constructed wetland in Hajiqabul on the ecological status of baby Hajiqabul lake in Azerbaijan.
• Finalize the dubbing videos for 7 training modules for the IWRM Academy training in Georgia
• Finalize the procurement of the Heating system for the greenhouse that will host the Aquaponic system in Azerbaijan.
• Finalize the report on the hydrological impacts of the project rational water use demos in both Azerbaijan and Georgia.
• Organize two online workshops to launch the E-learning portal for awareness raising in rational water use for school students and local communities, one in each country.
• Finalize the 2-day online training course on the application of the hydrological modelling in the Shamkir Chay River in Azerbaijan for the Azerbaijani trainees.
• Finalize the Article on the H2Otel Awards as an initiative for public private partnership on rational water use in the hospitality sector.
• Finalize the project budget revision to the end of 2020 and get approval from GEF and UNDP IRH.
• Register on the UNDP-Kura II project initiatives in the UN new voluntary SDG Acceleration Action.
• Print and distribute Kura Box themed posters and brochures in Georgia.
• Start the promotion of the project’s Comics Books in both countries 
• Awareness raising campaign starts in both countries
