UNDP-GEF Kura II Project finalized the updated version of the project’s Water Resources Geographic Information System (GIS). This version was developed according to the request of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan to have the project’s GIS database being compatible with the Ministry‘s information portal.  In the close collaboration the Information management system specialist in the Ministry the project team ensured ful compatibility of the new version with the Ministry’s information portal.

During the training, participants got informed on theoretical and practical aspects of geospatial technologies,GIS concept and role for the water management and UNDP GIS Database Structure Explanation.  The training is held by National Expert Emil Bayramov and followed with practical exercises and discussions.
