The participants were from Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, National Environmental Agency, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Ministry of Economy, water companies, international projects, Kura II team members and junior experts.

The meeting was chaired by Ms. Mariam Makarova, Water Division, Head, Kura II project focal point, and Dr. Mary Matthews, Kura II Chief Technical Advisor and Regional Project Coordinator.

Discussions and presentations covered the terms of reference for members of the Project Advisory Group, as well as an outline on the project's implemented activities and nearest plans, reviewing issues such as EUWFD approach and the inter-sectoral training for the Capacity Building for RBMOs, harmonization of water quality standards with EUWFD, potential sites for river restoration demonstration project and other demonstration projects. Discussions centered around stakeholder analysis, the Junior Experts Program, establishment of the Public Private Partnership working group and members, possible objectives and timing for the international study tour, cooperation with other donor projects, and the next PAG meeting.
