UNDP-GEF Kura II: Advancing IWRM Across the Kura River Basin

Water for our future - Water for all!

UNDP GEF Kura II Project in Partnership with Georgian NGO ED set out to empower the youth of Gori to take actions to be the change they want to see in the world.

Just a week after children around the world took to the streets to demand action on climate change, the UNDP GEF Kura II Project in Partnership with Georgian NGO ED set out to empower the youth of Gori to take actions to be the change they want to see in the world.

Of all the water on our blue planet only 0.03% is available for all fresh water needs, including agriculture, industry, municipal uses, and the environment. That means: If your body is all the water in the world, only amount in your thumb is available for ALL agriculture, industry, municipal uses, and the environment. And as the human population grows that 0.03% does not get bigger.

Using the thumbs up, kids in Gori pledged to work together to help save water, to teach others, and to develop new ideas for a future for Water for All-Gori.
