Second Regional Project Advisory Group Meeting Kachreti, Georgia 16-18 October 2018
In 16-18 October 2018 Kura II project had its Regional Project Advisory Group (RPAG) in Kachreti, Georgia. The event brought together key stakeholders in the water sector in Azerbaijan and Georgia to jointly discuss the challenges and solutions of Integrated Water Resources Management in the Kura River basin.
The overall objectives of the 2nd RPAG meeting are the following:
- Share updates from the national level regarding significant water management changes since the Winter 2018 Regional PAG held in Gabala, Azerbaijan and pending changes;
- For presentations from each of the Regional Working Groups on their status, way forward, and timelines.
- To review the 2014 Ministerially Agreed Strategic Action Plan for the Kura River, discuss the current status of priority transboundary issues, and consider next steps and future actions.
