Ahmed Abou Elseoud – Project Senior Capacity Building Coordinator

Ahmed has over 28 years of experience in all aspects and phases of water resources and environmental management. He graduated in 1983 from the faculty of Engineering Cairo University as civil engineer and got a MSC in water and environmental Engineering in 1994 from Utah state university, USA. Then he got a professional Diploma in Environmental Engineering from the American University in Cairo in 1999.

Eng. Ahmed has Significant expertise in water management computer modelling, information systems, decision support systems and environmental quality monitoring and analysis including oversight of biomonitoring and environmental flow monitoring to EU Water Framework Directives, in Egypt, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. He served as senior Biomonitoring expert in the previous phase of the project in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia.

He Served as Water Resources Planner in the Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation for 15 years and moved to the Ministry of Environment where promoted to be the First Deputy Secretary Head of the Central Department for Environmental Quality in the Egyptian Ministry of Environment. He is currently on leave from his role as CEO of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency to work on the Kura II Project.
