Elchin Mammadov – Project National Coordinator for Azerbaijan

Elchin graduated from Baku State University earning his degree in 1998 on Biology and Chemistry. He did postgraduate studies in 1999 – 2001 at the Institute of Zoology of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and earned his Ph.D. in Ichthyology and Hydrobiology. He also earned degree on World Economy from the Azerbaijan State University of Economy.

From 2007 to 2009 Elchin also did postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Environmental Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS) in Lowestoft, UK and attended Water Management Workshop organized by the Ministries of Environment and Foreign Affairs of Japan on March 2015. He worked as a Fisheries Biodiversity and Data Management Expert in UNDP GEF CASPECO Project from 2009 to 2012. Before joining to the Kura II project team as a National Coordinator for Azerbaijan, he was working for the Division of Environmental Policy of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR).
