Hajar's policy research on "Water-Energy Nexus and Transboundary Water Management as part of Integrated Water Resource Management in Azerbaijan" was published by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. She has also cooperated with NUPI and GIZ as a researcher and independent consultant. She is a trainer of Integrating Ecosystem Services into Development Planning training and has conducted trainings at ADA and Western Caspian Univiersities for junior and mid-career profesisonals on the importance of Ecosystem Services and how to integrate them into decision-making process. 

She has received her MA in Diplomacy and International Affairs from ADA University in 2014. She has also got her BA in International Relations from Baku Slavic University.
